Yves Saint Laurent partnering with
the Guggenheim Museum’s
Young Collectors Council hosted the 2005 Artist Ball, celebrating
a generation of young artists, collectors and friends of the
Guggenheim.

This year’s
Artist Ball honored Stefano Pilati, Yves
Saint Laurent’s Creative Director and artist, Philippe
Parreno. The evening included an impressive
silent auction showcasing works by David Altmejd, Hernan
Bas, Slater Bradley, Los Carpinteros, Tim Noble, and Sue
Webster, among others.
The party was hosted by an eclectic group of international
collectors, artists, and otherwise creative individuals dedicated
to supporting
the Guggenheim’s worldwide exhibition and acquisition
programs.
The event was chaired by Sally and Rufus Albemarle, Amanda and
Christopher Brooks, Amalia Dayan and Adam Lindemann, Eva and
Lorenzo Lorenzotti, and Jacqueline and Mortimer
Sackler.
The committee included Assume Vivid Astro Focus (ne Eli
Sudbrock),
Lisa Airan, Claire Bernard, BJ Topol Blum, Tory Burch,

The theme of the evening referenced Stefano Pilati's Spring
2006 Collection which took inspiration from the abundant wells
of
Spain – its literature, art, its temperature and its
cultural winds: The Spain of our imagination, its arabesques,
its Moorish
history, its corrida, and its passion. |
