Last week Bloomingdale's and Pamela Michaelcheck, Hilary Block, Catherine di Montezemolo, Somers White Farkas, and Barbara Stovall Smith co-hosted a “Designer Fall/Winter 2005 Fashion Presentation and Luncheon at the store with special guest designers Yigal Azourel, Charles Chang Lima, Isaac Franco, Ken Kaufman, Zac Posen.

Lyn Devon, Catherine di Montezemolo, and Pamela Michaelcheck
This is a fun luncheon and gives the ladies an opportunity to see, maybe shop, have a leisurely lunch in comfortable atmosphere. They raised $56,000 for the Southampton Fresh Air Home which is a not-for-profit residential camp for physically challenged youth. Because of Bloomie’s, 100% of the proceeds from the ticket sales and from a raffle of fashion gifts, as well as a percentage of the day’s sales in the designer department and Maximilian Fur Salon, go to the Home.

The Southampton Fresh Air Home’s mission is to provide an enriching recreational camping experience for these kids. They also give their parents and care-givers a bit of a rest from their demanding responsibilities, so everyone gets a break all around. And for the kids, it’s an opportunity to experience for a couple of weeks what a lot of us take for granted ALL THE TIME – getting out, being with new people, having a good time and a new look at life. Bravo all around to those participating!
