Another former winner, Pat Buckley, there with her husband William F. Buckley, Jr. was in a vintage black Bill Blass dress with a matching jacket.

Among the honorees families present were Julia Koch, Fernanda Niven, and Jamie’s daughters Eugenie Niven and Fernanda Niven, Jr. and Dr. Bosl’s daughter Christine Bosl.

The 7th floor was transformed into a ballroom, decorated with sheer hand cut organza multi-colored panels. The menu consisted of: lobster salad with tropical fruit and vanilla bean vinaigrette, grilled aged filet of beef with wild mushrooms, white sage polenta, asparagus tips and oven roasted tomatoes. The Partnership for Public Service, a non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to the revitalization of federal government service, honored Senator John McCain with its Theodore Roosevelt Award for the Advancement of Public Service at a glittering black tie event at the Waldorf=Astoria in Manhattan. Senator Joseph Lieberman presented the honor. The event raised approximately $2.2 million with almost 1400 guests attending. The Senators almost missed the event after being held at the airport in DC for almost 2 hours due to weather conditions!  Lieberman quipped that it would never have happened when McCain was head of the FAA.

Jon Stewart
provided the entertainment saying that he admired an organization like Partnership for Public Service who encouraged young people to go into a career where they could never afford to attend a black-tie benefit at the Waldorf. Broadcast journalist and interviewer Charlie Rose was master of ceremonies

Samuel J. Heyman
, Chairman of International Specialty Products, who founded The Partnership in 2001, was Dinner Chairman. The Honorable Paul A.
