Kicking off the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House’s “Kids In Candyland” benefit, Helena Skarstedt hosted a luncheon in her Scandinavian-styled East Side apartment for the benefit’s Chairs Alex Kramer and Julie Dannenberg Regal and their committee. Chef & Co prepared a delicious chicken salad with champagne vinaigrette and designer Andrea Karambelas dressed the ladies in her latest spring fashions.

Mary Snow wowed them with an “Audrey Hepburn” look, consisting of a bright green constructed coat, while Eva Dillon, Valesca Hermes, Lara Glazier, Cricket Burns, Liz Cohen, Ulrica Lanaro, Caroline Lo Faro, Christine Mack, Christina Wood and Erin Lazard, there with her daughter Chloe, chose cafatanesque short tops and Capri pants.

David Joseph from Bochic, the international jeweler, showed baroque pearls and dazzling jewelry. Bochic, Karambelas, Allen & Company, Saks Fifth Avenue, the Ambrose Monell Foundation, Peter Georgiopoulos, Carlos Miele, Olga Votis, Terry Allen Kramer, Martin Saar and Cheryl Tiegs are among the event sponsors.

The buzz was all about Dylan Lauren opening up her emporium Dylan’s Candybar (kiddy corner from Bloomingdales) for the event this afternoon (May 23) from 4:30 to 7:30pm. The committee members participating including Cynthia Lufkin, Sloan Lindemann Barnett, Kelly Bensimon, Cristina Cuomo, Andrea Donahue, Lauren Dupont, Pamela Gross, and Aerin Lauder Zinterhofer, are guaranteeing that the kids will be smiling.

The gang got together again yesterday at Guy Regal Ltd. to fill the goodie bags with gifts from Princess Marie-Chantal, Estée Lauder, Warner Brothers, Cornelia Day Spa, J. Crew, Juicy Couture, Le Tigre, Mella, Papo d’Anjou, Scoop Kids, and the Valery Joseph Salon. Others planned the array of raffle items including a Gucci Hobo bag, a Jeep Commando TJ Youth Sport Bike and a weekend at New York’s Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

The famous Sasha will be on hand to decorate the young faces. Mini-hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese and juice will be served for the and there will be Goodie Bags. The committee includes: Sloan Lindemann Barnett, Kelly Bensimon, Cristina Cuomo, Eva Dillon, Andrea Donahue, Lauren Dupont, Pamela Gross, Valesca Guerrand-Hermès, Erin Lazard, Cynthia Lufkin, and Aerin Lauder Zinterhofer. Funds raised will help children’s programs at LHNH, the oldest and largest social and educational services agency on the Upper East Side.

Carolina Herrera and Cartier hosted Memorial Sloan-Kettering’ ”Aces Are Wild” annual gambling party on Thursday May 12 at the Skylight Studios at 275 Hudson Street. The evening began with Champagne Taittinger cocktails followed by dinner by David Burke from David Burke Donatella. Big crowd; big party designed by A&O Productions. Alexis Waller chaired; co-chairs: Gretchen Gunlocke Fenton, Amanda Taylor Konjevod, Anne Grauso, Christina Smith, Melanie Holland and Leslie Heaney. Late night chairs (who know the late night gang) Phoebe Gubelmann, Natalie Leeds Leventhal, and Amy Raiter.

New York Pops' held their 22nd Birthday Gala "Two by Two" with
superstars from popular music, Broadway, film, television, jazz and cabaret taking the stage with Skitch Henderson and The New York Pops in support of the orchestra and its education programs and free Summermusic concerts. The  Gala, was hosted by Liz Smith and featured a special tribute to Cy Coleman.

American Idol winner Fantasia and Tony winner Heather Headley headlined a who's who of music, joined on stage by Broadway husband-and-wife artists Jason Danieley and Marin Mazzie, Tony winner Sutton Foster, multi-talented performer Michele Lee, star of popular music and theater Maureen McGovern, guitar virtuosos Bucky Pizzarelli and Frank Vignola, husband-and-wife jazz singers Jessica Molaskey and John Pizzarelli, and New York doyenne Kitty Carlisle Hart.

The gala raised funds for The New York Pops and its free education programs and free Summermusic concert. Honorees included legendary newsman Walter Cronkite, music industry leader Clive Davis, and philanthropist Mrs. Samuel J. LeFrak.

The New York Pops was founded by former NBC Music Director Skitch Henderson in 1983 to give New York a permanent professional symphonic pops orchestra that would create greater public awareness and appreciation of America's rich and diverse musical heritage. The orchestra is now the largest independent symphonic pops orchestra in the United States.
