Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts annual Spring Gala

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts held its annual Spring Gala two Wednesday’s ago with a semi-staged performance of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s “Passion” at the Rose Theatre. After the performance there was a cocktail reception before dinner in the Damrosch Park Tent. Thomas Renyi, Chairman and CEO of the Bank of New York was honored with Lincoln Center’s Laureate Award.

Among the guests attending the sparkling evening were Patti LuPone, Tony Bennett, Audra McDonald, Mr. and Mrs. Mario Cuomo, Gail and Carl Icahn, Paul Kellogg, Bruce Crawford, chairman of Lincoln Center; and Reynold Levy, president of Lincoln Center.

The annual gala is held to raise support for Lincoln Center of the Performing Arts and the more than 400 performances produced and presented annually by Lincoln Center.

Last Thursday Eva Lorenzotti, Lorenza Bellora and Giuseppe Bellora hosted the opening of Bellora’s flagship store at 156 Wooster Street, and welcomed the Bellora family to New York.

Bellora, if you didn’t know, are the masters of Italian linen and, according to their press agent, “have been offering the world the very finest for bed, bath and body” since 1883. There are many who agree and many of them were present that night including Dayssi Kanaovs, Sally Albemarle, Antony Todd, Zani Gugelmann, Valesca Guerrand-Hermes, Cece Coffin, Tara Peters, Aimal Khan, Caroline LoFaro, Alex Scarsini, Andrew Albert, Baerbara Gundlach, Tory Burch and Veronica Bulgari.
