We just changed the store windows to black gowns with embroideries in Swarovski Crystals, the must have of the fall season. Among the new hot items are party and cocktail short dresses in berries colors. Also very hot for the season are separates and beautiful romantic blouses teaming up with chiffon flare skirts and palazzo pants, all very feminine.
Nazmiyal
We at Nazmiyal are excited about Khotan rugs and carpets from East Turkestan. Essentially, Khotans straddle the boundary between Chinese or Tibetan rugs and those of the Middle East. While the main design elements, details, and drawing appear generally Chinese, the composition with central medallions or allover small medallions in rows relates more to Persian, Turkish, and Turkoman rugs from further west.

I'm really excited about Fall! As much as it's sad to see summer coming to an end, I love the change of season and it's an exciting time in New York which begins with the US Open and Fashion Week in town.
Purple is THE color this fall, and our store has brought in gorgeous cocktail dresses and gowns in rich shades of purple, which I'm planning to wear to up-coming events.

Are you changing your store windows? Yes, the store windows are constantly changing. We have just moved from summer in Provence to preparation for Beaujolais Nouveau.
Using any new colors? Shots of persimmon seem to be cropping up and variations of loden and camel.
Did you purchase or plan to purchase any fabulous new additions to your fall wardrobe? Of course; Ralph Rucci, Oscar de la Renta, YSL, Denis Basso, Proenza Schouler and always vintage.
Entertaining guests for a cozy Dinner Party? Cozy is always best, 8 – 10 people and always at home. I will be hosting Andrew Zega and Bernd Dams to celebrate their new book “Architectural Alphabet.” Also: a dinner party celebrating The Lincoln Center’s 50th Anniversary, and other dinner parties, just because.

Stribling
Stribling is delighted to be participating in Vanity Fair’s Campaign New York. From September 15th through the 26th, companies and retailers on Madison Avenue will feature portraits from the book Vanity Fair: The Portraits, A Century of Iconic Images in their windows.
The event celebrated the opening of the "Unveiled" Exhibition, curated by Vanity Fair, with the Whitney Museum. Stribling hosted a cocktail party, along with the other participants on Madison Avenue, to kick off the event this past Monday evening.

September fo us is the opening of New York’s first green, geothermal condominium on the Upper East Side. 180 East 93rd Street will work to reduce the Carbon Footprint. We tore down three 17-foot townhouses to create a 7-story, 9 Unit Condo.
To get the Geothermal water, we had to drill 50 feet into the bedrock of Manhattan where the water is 55 degrees. It is “Unique Boutique Living.” The condos are on sale now and will be ready for occupancy by summer 2009.

Circa’s mastermind Chris del Gatto is passionate about two things: precious jewels and polo. One is his business and the other is his pleasure as a poloist.
So he reports: “As the summer polo season draws to a close in the Hamptons, the CIRCA polo team is already hard at work preparing for their November tournament in Argentina!”
