Event Title: New York City Opera's Theater Debut and Opening Night Celebration. Event Description: New York City Opera’s Theater Debut and Opening Night Celebration will mark an extraordinary moment in the company’s history, celebrating its return to the David H. Koch Theater for the 2009-10 season and unveiling state-of-the-art renovations which will have been completed. The Theater Debut Celebration will honor David H. Koch and welcome new General Manager and Artistic Director George Steel. The gala performance, American Voices, will showcase great music from American opera and musical theater, starring such world-renowned New York City Opera alumni as Anna Christy, Joyce DiDonato, Lauren Flanigan, Anthony Dean Griffey, and Samuel Ramey. The concert will also feature the special participation of the New York City Ballet – a fitting partnership to recognize the 50th Anniversary of Lincoln Center. There will be cocktails at 6:00 PM followed by the gala concert at 7:00 PM and then dinner and dancing at 9:00 PM. Time: 6:00 PM - Cocktails; 7:00 PM - Gala Concert; 9:00 PM - Dinner & Dancing.
