Event Title:
Bronx Museum Benefit Concert.

Event Description:
On the evening of Thursday, November 5, 2009, famed jazz composer Arturo O’Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra will perform at a special concert benefiting The Bronx Museum of the Arts. The event will feature the world premiere performance of “Wise Latina Woman,” a piece penned by Mr. O’Farrill to honor Bronx-born Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor. The concert will begin at 8:00 pm at Symphony Space and will be followed by a wine and dessert reception.

Wise Latina Woman was commissioned by The Bronx Museum of the Arts and Symphony Space to celebrate the life of Sonia Sotomayor and made possible by R.D Rice Construction, Inc.

8:00pm.
